The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
